AIAMM User Guide

Welcome to the AI Adoption Maturity Model (AIAMM) assessment application. This tool is designed for higher education leaders to map, visualize, and benchmark their institution's AI readiness and integration using the "New Mexico Chart" visual framework.

🚀 Quick Start: Try it with Example Data!

Before diving into a blank assessment, the best way to understand the power of this tool is to see it populated with data.

Click the Load Example button in the top menu bar.
A pre-populated New Mexico Chart for Example University will instantly appear.
Close this guide, and try clicking on the colored squares in the chart to open the side panel and explore the underlying questions!

1. Starting an Assessment

Click + Start Interview to begin. The wizard will walk you through the 90 questions. You can select a status, provide a written justification, and attach multiple supporting URLs. Click "Save & Next" to record your progress.

2. Interacting with the Chart

As you answer questions, the New Mexico Chart builds itself dynamically. "N/A" answers are intentionally hidden from the grid to maintain visual density. Click any colored square to open the Inspector Panel on the right. From there, click "Edit Assessment" to update your status, justification, or links.

3. Saving and Exporting Data

Save Data: Click Save .aiamm to download your assessment as a local JSON file. (Your data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly save it).
Importing Data: Click Import .aiamm to load a previously saved assessment or an automated assessment generated by the Python LLM script.
Image Exports: Use the PNG or SVG buttons to download high-res graphics of your chart for slide decks and reports.
