Looking Ahead: ITS Priorities for the 2027.08 Release Cycle
2027.08 is the most distant cycle on the roadmap, and it is deliberately short. Two initiatives sit on it, and both are large: the campus portal reaching general availability, and the consortium’s launch of a new student information system on July 1, 2027.
Most of what appears on a page this far out is a planning position rather than a schedule. The student information system date is the exception — it is set by the consortium, which is why it is published now, while there is still time for departments to prepare.
1. The Portal Reaches General Availability
- Pathify launch: The new portal moves from beta to general availability, following the focus groups run in 2026.04 and the student hub beta in 2026.12 — a full extra cycle in beta, because it is the page the campus starts its day on.
- What a launch means here: Not only a date. Content owned by the departments it belongs to, integrations documented on the architecture map, and a support path for the people who use it every day.
2. The Student Information System
The student information system is shared infrastructure. It is operated for the member colleges by the consortium’s technology services group, and the roadmap for it is set there rather than at any one campus. The consortium’s project to move to Anthology paused following a change in the platform’s ownership, and CMC extended its current Jenzabar CX platform in the interim so campus operations continued uninterrupted. The consortium has since slated the launch for July 1, 2027, which places it inside this release cycle.
- CMC’s part is readiness: Confirming requirements with the offices that use the system daily, drawing the data and integration inventory from the architecture map completed in 2027.04, and testing and training alongside the consortium’s plan.
- Where the plan lives: Scope, sequencing, and timing for the platform itself sit with the consortium and its member colleges. ITS carries what that means for CMC to the departments it affects as the plan develops.
- Why it is on this page now: So the offices whose work depends on this system can see a date on the horizon with time to prepare for it, rather than hearing about it late.
Beyond 2027.08
Two cycles out is as far as the published roadmap currently reaches, and we are looking forward to building out what comes next with the people it serves — faculty, students, senior leadership, and our consortium partners. One item is already recorded for 2027.12: a governance, risk, and compliance review of the college’s policy set, revisiting the Responsible Secure Computing Policy and the standards beneath it against how they have worked in practice.
How to read this page: 2027.08 does not open until May 2027, two cycles from now. Apart from the consortium’s July 1 date, items this far ahead are planning positions rather than commitments, and the list will grow as the cycle approaches.
