Release Notes

A plain-language record of the platforms, upgrades, and programs ITS has delivered — and what’s coming next.

How we curate this page

ITS runs three release cycles a year — .04 (January–April), .08 (May–August), and .12 (September–December) — tracked internally against dozens of infrastructure, security, and project line items. This page summarizes the user-facing highlights from each cycle in plain language. Internal infrastructure changes, vendor and budget details, and security-operational specifics are tracked separately and are intentionally not published here.

Looking Further Ahead

Beyond the current cycle, two releases are already sketched out:

  • 2027.04 — a consolidation cycle: the betas of 2026.12 become standard practice, including full release of a modernized employee onboarding experience and the architecture map at 1.0.
  • 2027.08 — the Pathify portal reaches general availability, and the consortium launches a new student information system on July 1, 2027 — a consortium-led date, with CMC’s work in that cycle being readiness.

Items move between releases as priorities and capacity change — 2026.08 closed with several platform items moved into the fall so the capital projects and the start of the academic year could have the people they needed. Deciding what belongs in a release is a governance conversation, not a scheduling one, and that movement is the system working as designed.
