Overview
StarRez is CMC's housing management platform, used by the Residential Life & Housing (RLH) team to manage the full student housing lifecycle — from initial applications and room selection through the annual RoomDraw process, check-in/check-out, billing, and residential community programming.
Students access StarRez to apply for housing, view room assignments, request room changes, and manage their housing account. Housing staff use StarRez to manage occupancy, process billing, coordinate with Financial Aid for housing grants, and support the RTA (Resident Technology Advisor) program. ITS maintains the StarRez tenant and CMC SSO integration.
Getting Started
Sign In via CMC SSO
Navigate to the StarRez student portal through the CMC SSO portal. Sign in with your CMC credentials.
Complete Your Housing Application
During the housing application window, complete the online application including roommate preferences, building preferences, and meal plan selection.
Participate in RoomDraw
When the RoomDraw window opens, log in to StarRez to select your room during your assigned time slot. Check the Housing office website for your selection time.
View Your Assignment
After assignments are finalized, log in to StarRez and navigate to My Housing to see your room assignment, building details, and move-in information.
