Student Information System

CMC's student records platform — Jenzabar CX today, with the consortium's move to Anthology Student slated for July 1, 2027 — managing enrollment, registration, billing, academic records, and FERPA-protected student data.

Overview

CMC's Student Information System (SIS) is currently built on Jenzabar CX and serves as the authoritative system of record for student enrollment, academic records, financial aid, billing, and registration. Access requires CMC SSO with mandatory MFA and is strictly role-based per FERPA requirements.

The SIS integrates with Canvas (course enrollment), Workday (financial aid disbursement), and Boomi (data orchestration).

What is changing, and when

This is shared infrastructure, operated for the member colleges by the consortium’s technology services group, and its roadmap is set there rather than at any one campus. The consortium’s project to move to Anthology Student paused following a change in the platform’s ownership, and CMC extended its current Jenzabar CX platform in the interim. The consortium has since slated the launch for July 1, 2027, inside the 2027.08 release cycle.

CMC’s part between now and then is readiness — confirming requirements with the offices that use the system daily, inventorying the data and integrations that depend on it, and testing and training alongside the consortium’s plan. ITS will carry what that plan means for CMC to the departments it affects as it develops.

Getting Started

1

Navigate to the SIS Portal

Access the SIS through its portal.

2

Sign In with CMC SSO + MFA

Enter your CMC credentials and complete Duo MFA. All SIS access requires MFA regardless of network location.

3

Select Your Role View

The SIS presents different views based on your role. Students see registration, grades, and billing. Staff see administrative tools appropriate to their department.

4

Contact Registrar for Access Issues

Role-based SIS access is provisioned by the Registrar's office in coordination with ITS. Submit a ticket through the Help Desk for access requests.

Does your department depend on student data?

If your reporting, workflows, or systems draw on the SIS, the useful time to tell us is now — while the readiness inventory is being built, not after it is written. Contact us to walk through your data and integration requirements.
