Overview
CMC provides the Zoom AI Companion as a built-in feature of our enterprise Zoom accounts. It generates accurate meeting summaries, extracts action items, and provides live transcription — all within Zoom's secure, FERPA-compliant infrastructure.
How to Start an AI-Assisted Meeting
Start Your Meeting as Host
Only the meeting host can activate the AI Companion. Start your Zoom meeting from your CMC-licensed Zoom account.
Click the AI Companion Icon
Look for the sparkling AI Companion icon in the bottom toolbar during the meeting. Click it to open the AI panel.
Select "Start Summary"
Click "Start Summary" to notify all participants that AI is active and begin secure transcription. All participants will see a notification — consent is implied by remaining in the meeting.
Access Your Summary After the Meeting
The AI summary is delivered via the Zoom web portal under "Recordings," in the meeting chat as a follow-up message, and by email notification from Zoom.
